The Lowe Alpine Mountain cap is an absolute classic bit of kit that has often been copied but never beaten. Made from Lowe Alpine's own waterproof and breathable Triplepoint Ceramic 2-layer outer fabric it features fully taped seams to keep you safe from the elements.
Lined with a soft Aleutian polyester fleece to insulate the hat and keep you warm, which also aids the wicking process and moves unwanted moisture away from your head. For added warmth and to save getting those dreaded cold ears - the hat features scooped ear flaps, which can be tucked away inside the Mountain Cap when not required. If you want to really make sure you don't lose the hat in severe conditions you can attach some accessory cord to the cord loops on the ear flaps to create a secure chin strap.
If you are between sizes the Mountain Cap is part elasticated and features an adjustable strap at the back. The useful peak features a wire peak so you can shape it around glasses or goggles and the whole peak can be folded up out of the way and secured with a press stud.
Lowe Alpine came up with this classic design decades ago and it is still one of the best all-round mountain hats you can buy; "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
