Powerful Thermal Capabilities
The Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro features an extremely sensitive, European-made 384×288, 17µm, <25 mK NETD Lynred thermal sensor and an incredibly powerful 35mm f1.0 fast aperture germanium objective lens to produce high-resolution thermal imagery at distances reaching up to 1300m. This device will easily detect an animals heat signature in adverse weather conditions — such as heavy rain, thick fog, or in environments with high levels of humidity. It will even work effectively through small gaps in dense foliage.
Error-Free Assessments
The Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro’s built-in precision laser rangefinder will offer the ability to gauge error-free distance measurements between the user and their observed animal or object at a range of up to 1000m with an accuracy of ±1m. These distance measurements can be achieved in both single step and continuous scanning mode.
Enhanced Image Processing
Pulsar’s proprietary image processing algorithms provide high quality rendering of both observed objects and background. Three available levels of signal amplification, combined with a connected smoothing filter and fine brightness and contrast adjustments, provide the user with greater opportunities in terms of long-range detection of an animal and its extremities under a variety of different weather and temperature conditions.
Variable Magnification
The Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro’s base magnification will increase fourfold from 2.0x-8.0x via a smooth digital zoom that can change in 2x steps or continuously, allowing the user to set their ideal magnification and visible field of view to suit any situation.
HD AMOLED Display
Crystal clear, well-defined thermal imagery is presented onto a high-contrast 640×400 HD AMOLED display. This display achieves better colour rendering, power saving characteristics, and a much sharper and smoother picture — even in frosty conditions.
Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode
Picture in Picture (PiP) mode allows the user to display a zoomed in zeroing frame at the top of the display, in which the observation area can be magnified by x2 or x4, whilst simultaneously retaining visual control over the entire field of view.
Lightweight & Durable
With a robust magnesium alloy bodyshell, the Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro will easily withstand shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold, whilst the metal housing works as a heatsink to effectively dissipate any warmth emitted by the device’s internal electronics — minimising any image noise and increasing device operation consistency over long periods of observation. Its IPX7 waterproof rating protects against water ingress and ensures the device remains operational after immersion in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.
Extended Battery Life
The Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro’s APS 5 Li-ion battery pack will offer up to 11 hours of power before a recharge is needed (depending on temperature), making it perfect for prolonged periods of observation. Removing and replacing the battery is possible in only a matter of seconds due to the intuitive design, and recharging is as simple as placing the battery into its charging dock or plugging it directly into a PC or household power system via a USB-C cable.
8 Colour Palettes
This thermal imaging monocular features the choice of eight colour palettes, each of which provides the user with the ability more effectively observe their field of view, optimising the Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro for specific tasks and allowing it to react to changing observation conditions.
For object detection, White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are most effective; Rainbow and Ultramarine is best for object recognition and identification; and Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are most suitable for long observation periods in darkness.
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The Axion 2 LRF XG35 features a highly sensitive 640×480, 12 µm, NETD <40mK thermal sensor, combined with a 50Hz refresh rate and a powerful objective lens, to provide an impressive 1750m detection range of a standard 1.8m object in total darkness, withstanding even the most difficult, adverse weather conditions, such as fog, rain, and high levels of humidity.
Fast Aperture 35mm f1.0 Lens
The focusable fast aperture germanium 35mm f1.0 lens uses high infrared transmission in the LWIR range; and, due to the precision with which the optical elements within the lens have been manufactured, the Axion 2 LRF XG35 presents a level of image detail that is consistently clear and well distinguished.
Variable Magnification
Offers 8x digital zoom with a base magnification of 2.5x -20x for better object recognition at considerable distances. This zoom can change either by x2 steps, or in continuous motion to optimise the generous 12.5°х9.4° field of view.
Built-In Precision Laser Rangefinder
The built-in precision laser rangefinder offers a range of up to 1000m, allowing for accurate measurements of distances in single steps or continuous scanning modes, with an accuracy of ± 1m, enabling quick and accurate, error-free assessments within the observation area.
AMOLED Display
A high contrast VGA-resolution AMOLED display — which features enhanced colour rendering — provides a clear and smooth picture whilst on-the-move.
Picture in Picture (PiP) Mode
Picture in Picture (PiP) mode allows the user to display a zoomed in zeroing frame at the top of the display, in which the observation area can be magnified by x2 or x4, whilst retaining complete visual control over the field of view.
Enhanced Image Processing
Pulsar’s enhanced image processing algorithms provide high quality rendering of both observed objects and backgrounds. Three available levels of signal amplification, combined with a connected smoothing filter and fine brightness and contrast adjustments, provide the user with greater opportunities in terms of long-range detection under a variety of different weather and temperature conditions.
Calibration Modes
Three calibration modes are available (Manual, Semi-Automatic, and Automatic), equalising the microbolometer temperature background — eliminating defects and ensuring a consistent image quality.
8 Colour Palettes
A choice of eight colour palettes provides the user with the ability more effectively observe their field of view, optimising the Axion 2 LRF XG35 for specific tasks and allowing it to react to changing observation conditions.

Up to 7 Hours Battery Life
The Axion 2 LRF XG35 uses an APS5 rechargeable battery, which offers up to 7 hours of battery life on just a single charge (depending on temperature).
Removing and replacing the battery is achieved easily in mere seconds thanks to the intuitive design, and recharging is as simple as placing the battery into its charging dock or plugging directly into a PC/household power system via a USB-C cable.
Display Off Mode & Instant Start-Up
Display Off mode will temporarily reduce screen brightness to an absolute minimum, effectively powering off the screen whilst all other systems within the device remain operational, saving battery in those moments where the device is not in use but may be needed quickly. Restarting the device with instant-start-up is as quick and easy as powering the display back on and takes only three seconds to become fully operational again.
Magnesium Alloy Housing
Despite its compact size, the Axion 2 LRF XG35 has been designed with constant and hard use in mind. The magnesium alloy housing, though extremely light, is also incredibly strong — reliably protecting the internal components from shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold. This housing also acts as a heat sink, removing heat generated by the internal electronics, minimising image noise, and increasing operational consistency over long periods of observation.
IPX7 Waterproof
The IPX7 waterproof rating means that this thermal imaging monocular will work in heavy rain, high humidity, and will even withstand immersion in water to a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes.
Operating Temperatures
Designed for use within a wide variety of temperatures and environments, operating without issue in extreme temperatures, from -25 to +50°C.
